WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that we are ordinary people, saved by extraordinary grace.

We believe that:

• God created man perfect, in his image;
• Man fell into sin;
• Because of man’s sin, we are all subject to the wrath of God;
• Out of pure grace, God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to die for our sins;
• Jesus Christ’s perfect sacrifice is imputed to us, and through faith, we share in his righteousness and are promised a perfect, eternal afterlife with God.

We are a Reformed church. This means that we hold to the 5 following principles:

Scripture over tradition | sola scriptura
Faith over works | sola fide
Grace over merit | sola gratia
Through Christ only | solo Christo
All glory to God | soli Deo Gloria

Our doctrine of faith is summarized in the Three Forms of Unity, which are:

• The Heidelberg Catechism
• The Belgic Confession
• The Canons of Dordt

Our church stands in unity with believers throughout the world by confessing the following creeds:

• Apostle’s Creed
• Nicene Creed
• Athanasian Creed
